We are expanding our trade team and seeking near qualified Carpenters looking to continue their development or experienced carpenters with a strong background across new construction and modular builds to join our growing regional construction business.

The Cabin Group, located in Buronga 5 minutes out of Mildura, is a manufacturer and supplier of modular buildings servicing southern NSW, NW Victoria, Eastern SA. We design and manufacture tailor made modular buildings to suit individual client requirements as well as pre-designed packaged products for private, public, education and industrial customers, all based out of our large fully covered manufacturing facility.

ABOUT THE ROLE

n

As a Carpenter at TCG, you will be part of a team building new modular construction from the ground up.

n





This hands-on role suited to a carpenter who enjoys new builds, working from plans and seeing a project come together. You will be involved across different stages of the build from setting out and framing through to installing doors, windows, internal flashings, fittings and completing finishing work.

n

You will be responsible for completing carpentry work accurately and efficiently, working from plans, drawings and specifications and ensuring each cabin is built to a high standard.

n

Your day-to-day work may include:

n

Handling, preparing and installing a range of carpentry and building materials

n

Reading, interpreting and working from plans, drawings and specifications

n

Carrying out measurements, calculations, setting out and levelling

n

Using carpentry tools, equipment and machinery safely and effectively

n

Planning and prioritising daily tasks to meet project schedules

n

Working collaboratively with supervisors, other trades and team membersto keep builds moving

n

Working through different stages of the cabin build as part of a wider team

n

Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment

n

Applying all relevant OHS requirements, policies and procedures

n

Working safely at heights and using specialised tools and equipment in accordance with relevant requirements

n

ABOUT YOU

n

You are a capable, practical and job ready carpenter who takes pride in your work and enjoys building things properly.

n

You understand how to read plans, measure accurately and work efficiently as part of a construction team.



We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, can work independently when required and contributes positively to the wider team.

n

Experience in new builds, framing, modular construction, cabins or residential construction will be highly regarded.

n

You will be one of the following:

n

Trade qualified Carpenter with solid on-site experience

n

A 3rd or 4th year apprentice who has developed a strong level of independence and practical capability

n

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Has practical carpentry skills and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship

n

Can confidently work from plans and specifications, including measuring, setting out, levelling and safely using carpentry tools and equipment

n

Has capable problem‐solving and practical decision‐making skills

n

Is organised and able to plan and prioritise daily work

n

Communicates clearly, respectfully and professionally with supervisors and trades

n

Is reliable, punctual and has a strong work ethic

n

Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team

n

Takes responsibility for the quality and completion of their work

n

Has a strong understanding of construction site safety and OHS requirements

n

Is physically capable of undertaking the requirements of the role

n

Holds a current driver's licence and Construction Induction (White Card)

n

Is willing to contribute positively to the company's workforce, culture and work environment

n
