ServiceNow Developer – Federal Government

This is a hands-on development role focused primarily on current ServiceNow solutions. You will design, configure and develop custom and out-of-the-box functionality that meets business and technical requirements. You will join a large, multidisciplinary Agile delivery team supporting a major Federal Government technology transformation program.

Key responsibilities

- Design and develop ServiceNow applications, modules and integrations.
- Configure and customise workflows, forms, scripts and platform functionality.
- Translate business requirements into prototypes and fully working solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, user researchers, service designers and technical teams.
- Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow applications and modules.
- Troubleshoot complex platform issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Implement bug fixes and improve platform stability and performance.
- Monitor system health and proactively address issues to minimise downtime.
- Support platform maintenance, upgrades and continuous improvement.




- Prepare technical designs, specifications and knowledge-transfer documentation.

About you

- Demonstrated experience designing, developing and maintaining ServiceNow solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience configuring and customising ServiceNow modules, workflows, forms and scripts.
- Experience developing ServiceNow integrations and custom applications.
- Practical experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM and HR modules.
- Ability to gather and interpret business requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Experience monitoring ServiceNow platform health and resolving performance or availability issues.
- Knowledge of Microsoft platforms and development practices, including Office 365, SharePoint and Azure DevOps.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both business and technical stakeholders.
