The Role

n

As theSenior Strategic Planneryou will play a key role in shaping the future growth and development of the Shire. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the Coordinator Strategic Planning and Manager Growth and Development to deliver on the Strategic work program. This is a senior position within the Growth & Development Unit and its objectives are to manage and coordinate the development of strategic land use planning projects and policies to enable the implementation of successful planning outcomes for Moorabool, and to provide rigorous and timely strategic planning advice to internal and external stakeholders.

About You

n

You are an experienced strategic planner with strong knowledge of the Victorian planning system and a passion for creating sustainable, well-planned communities. You'll bring strong project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, along with experience managing planning scheme amendments anddeveloping strategic planning policies and initiatives across a range of strategic land use planning issues (such as environmental, social, heritage, transport and sustainability). A tertiary qualification in Planning or a related discipline and substantial strategic planning experience are essential.
