Melbourne's 2026-2027 Spring and Summer events season is approaching, and ETNAN Security is seeking professional, reliable and customer focused Security Guards and Crowd Controllers to join our expanding events team.

Successful applicants may have opportunities to work across concerts, sporting events, festivals, carnivals and other major events throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.

This is an opportunity to develop your event-security experience while working alongside a supportive and professional operational team.

Please note that available shifts will depend on event requirements, client allocations, employee availability, qualifications and operational needs. Casual employment does not guarantee a minimum number of hours.

Duties and Responsibilities

n

Depending on your licence endorsements, qualifications and event allocation, your duties may include:

n

n
- Crowd monitoring and crowd management
n
- Maintaining a visible and professional security presence
n
- Providing helpful and respectful customer service
n
- Conducting entry screening, bag checks and wanding
n
- Managing access controlled areas
n




- Checking passes and accreditations
n
- Monitoring licensed areas and supporting RSA compliance
n
- Conducting roving and perimeter patrols
n
- Monitoring restricted, backstage and VIP areas
n
- Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents and suspicious behaviour
n
- Assisting with emergency and evacuation procedures
n
- Deescalating challenging situations professionally
n
- Completing incident reports and operational documentation
n
- Following site instructions, safety procedures and lawful directions
n

n

Mandatory Requirements

n

Applicants must:

n

n
- Hold a current Victorian private security licence with the appropriate Security Guard and/or Crowd Controller endorsement
n
- Hold a current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate, or be willing and able to obtain one before commencing relevant assignments
n
- Have the legal right to work in Australia
n
- Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
n
- Have reliable transport or another reliable means of travelling to allocated work locations
n
- Be able to perform the inherent requirements of the position, with reasonable adjustments where applicable
n

n

Additional Requirements

n

Depending on the event, client or work location, applicants may also be required to:

n

n
- Hold a current First Aid certificate, or be willing and able to obtain one before commencing relevant assignments
n
- Hold a current Working with Children Check, or be willing and able to obtain one before commencing relevant assignments
n
- Obtain additional client-specific qualifications, inductions, training or accreditations
n

n

Applicants who do not currently hold First Aid RSA or a Working with Children Check may still apply but could be required to obtain them before accepting particular assignments.

n

Experience

n

Previous experience in major events, crowd management, venue security, hospitality,



customer service or a similar public-facing role is highly regarded.

n

Recently licensed applicants with the right attitude, professionalism and communication skills are also encouraged to apply.
