Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Operate excavators for detailed excavation, bulk earthworks, demolition, and material handling
n
- Conduct pre-start inspections and daily safety checks, including fluid levels, greasing, lubrication, and defect reporting
n
- Work collaboratively with ground crews to deliver excavation, demolition, stockpiling,



and truck loading in line with WHS requirements
n
- Assess work areas prior to commencement, identifying hazards, soil conditions, access constraints, and material placement zones
n
- Ensure plant and equipment are operated safely, cleaned daily, securely stored, and maintained to company standards
n
- Monitor truck loading to ensure compliance with weight requirements and verify dockets with drivers
n
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and site managers, responding promptly to instructions and reporting issues
n
- Maintain accurate daily records and site documentation as required
n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Valid Driver's Licence
n
- White Card
n
- Relevant excavator operator tickets/licences
n
- Minimum 2+ years' experience operating excavators on civil and demolition projects within Australia
n
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and secure work practices
n
- Ability to work independently when required
n
- Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
n
