About the Role

n

As a Field Service Electrician/Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring residential properties comply with current smoke alarm legislation through high-quality installation, servicing, and maintenance.

n

You'll work across a variety of homes, liaising with tenants, property owners, and real estate agents, delivering professional service while managing your day efficiently and safely.

n

You'll also be trained to deliver additional compliance services, making this a varied and interesting role beyond standard electrical work.

n

This role can be four days per week if you prefer.

Key Responsibilities

n

n




- Deliver excellent customer service when dealing with property managers, tenants, residents, and private owners
n
- Install, service, and troubleshoot smoke alarms in line with manufacturer instructions, legislation, and best practice
n
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Queensland smoke alarm legislation (and NSW where applicable)
n
- Review and clarify work orders with the office team prior to attending jobs
n
- Accurately record all work via the SAI tech portal, including photos and site details
n
- Comply with all Queensland electrical safety regulations and internal safety policies
n
- Manage time effectively while maintaining quality and compliance standards
n

About You

You'll likely have:

- A current QLD Electrical Licence
n
- A robust commitment to safety and compliance

- Excellent communication and customer service skills
n
- Good time management and attention to detail

- Confidence working independently in the field
n
- Basic tech skills for using mobile job management systems
n
- A professional, reliable, and respectful approach when working in people's homes
