Tyrrells have specialised in therenovationandrestorationof monuments, plaques, crypts & vaults in cemeteries throughout Sydney and New South Wales for over 85years. We are currently recruiting a skilled Building Construction Supervisor to join our team

n

Duties & Responsibilities

n

n
- Direct, plan and coordinate activities, oversee scheduling, organising and implementationof monuments, plaques, crypts & vaults in cemeteries throughout Sydney.
n
- Oversee the planning, execution and completion of monuments, plaques, crypts & vaults construction projects
n
- Supervises construction sites and organises and coordinates the material and human resources.
n
- Interpreting plans, working drawings and specifications. Revise and edit as required, interpret regulations and codes of practice
n
- Co-ordinates work programmes
n
- Calculates costs and estimates time scales
n
- Coordinate and manage trades, suppliers, and contractors to meet deadlines
n
- Determine labour requirements, materials planning and logistics
n
- Inspect work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards
n
- Ensure all projects comply with building codes,



safety standards, and company quality expectations
n
- Conduct site inspections, problem-solve issues, and maintain high-quality control
n
- Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams
n
- Ensure budget and timelines are met while maintaining construction efficiency
n
- Handle in office troubleshooting and issue resolution to keep projects on track
n

Skills and Qualifications required

n

n
- Diploma level or higher qualifications or extensive practical experience work experience in a similar role
n
- knowledge of the methods, materials and tools required for construction projects
n
- Ability to interpret technical plans, blueprints and drawings.
n
- Knowledge of public safety and security policies, procedures and strategies.
n
- Strong Communication, organisations and problem-solving skills
n
- Attention to Detail, critical thinking and math skills
n
