My client is an established business operating within the roofing and building materials industry, with a strong presence across the East Coast of Australia.

The business specialises in a broad range of roofing materials and accessories, supporting customers across the construction industry with quality products, technical knowledge and practical solutions.

n

With an established customer base and continued growth across the market, the business is looking for a technically minded and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join the team.

n

Role Description

n

This is a technical Business Development role focused on growing new business and developing strong relationships across the construction industry.

n

You'll work directly with architects, engineers, builders and roofing professionals, discussing project requirements, product applications and technical solutions.

n

A key part of the role will be specification conversations, identifying projects early and influencing product selection through technical advice and strong commercial relationships.

n

The successful candidate will combine strong roofing product knowledge with the ability to sell, negotiate and develop new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Develop new business opportunities across the roofing and construction market
n




- Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, builders and contractors
n
- Identify upcoming projects and specification opportunities
n
- Conduct technical product and specification discussions
n
- Provide customers with appropriate product and application solutions
n
- Develop existing accounts while actively pursuing new business
n
- Prepare quotations and follow opportunities through to completion
n
- Work closely with internal sales and technical teams
n
- Maintain a strong presence in the market through regular customer visits
n
- Manage and develop an active sales pipeline
n

Role Requirements

n

n
- Experience in technical sales, business development or building products
n
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, systems and accessories
n
- Experience dealing with architects, engineers, builders or construction professionals
n
- Confident conducting product and specification discussions
n
- Ability to understand project requirements and recommend suitable products
n
- Strong commercial sales and relationship-building skills
n
- Proven ability to develop recent business and manage opportunities
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n

Salary and Benefits

n

- Base $115k - $130k + Super + Car + Commission
n
