nDriftlab Automotive is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic to join their growing automotive team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to work in a fast-paced workshop environment specialising in vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs and performance-focused automotive solutions.n
n
nThe successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring vehicles are maintained, repaired, and operating safely and efficiently to meet customer and industry standards.n
n
nDuties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):n
n• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing toolsn
n• Conduct inspections of engines, transmissions, steering systems, brakes, suspension and other vehicle componentsn
n• Repair or replace defective and worn mechanical parts and componentsn
n• Perform scheduled vehicle servicing including oil changes, tune-ups, fluid checks and lubrication servicesn
n• Remove, dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines, gearboxes and other vehicle assembliesn
n• Carry out fault-finding procedures using computerized diagnostic systemsn




n• Test vehicles after repairs and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper performance and safetyn
n• Perform maintenance and repair work in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workshop standardsn
n• Maintain accurate service records and report identified issues to management and/or customersn
n• Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements and industry regulationsn
n• Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure tools and equipment are used safely and efficientlyn
n
nQualifications:n
n• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualificationn
n• Diploma of Automotive or relevant automotive trade qualification preferred but not mandatory n
n
nOther Skills and Requirements:n
n• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic or in a similar rolen
n• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs and automotive systemsn
n• Experience using computerized diagnostic equipment and workshop toolsn
n• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsn
n• Excellent attention to detail and time management skillsn
n• Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced workshop environmentn
n• Strong understanding of workplace safety and automotive compliance requirementsn
n• Passion for the automotive industry and commitment to quality workmanshipn
