The Opportunity

The Role

n

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our Residential Aged Care team on a casual basis.

n

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality catering services that support the wellbeing and dining experience of our residents, while ensuring food safety, compliance and productive use of resources. You will work as part of a supportive catering and care team, preparing and serving meals in a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Preparing, handling, storing and serving food safely and hygienically
n
- Ensuring meals and beverages are presented to a high standard
n
- Maintaining appropriate food temperatures and completing temperature records
n
- Setting dining rooms and preparing individual resident meal trays
n
- Assisting with dishwashing and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
n
- Monitoring and reporting food wastage
n




- Supporting individual resident dietary requirements in consultation with clinical staff
n
- Following food safety, WHS and infection-control requirements
n
- Contributing to a positive and respectful dining experience for residents
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who brings:

n

n
- Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
n
- Minimum two years' commercial cooking experience
n
- Previous experience in a Residential Aged Care setting
n
- Strong knowledge of food handling and food safety requirements
n
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
- Understanding of WHS and infection-control principles
n
