Disability Support Worker with Mental Health Experience

Are you a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker with a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges, Autism, and complex needs? We have multiple positions available across Melbourne, and we're looking for dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team

Our ideal candidate will have:

n

Appropriate qualifications in: Health, Disability, Community Services or equivalence

n

Experience in Mental Health and Autism: We value candidates with hands on experience in providing support to individuals facing mental health issues and Autism spectrum disorders.

n

Expertise in Complex Needs: If you've worked with clients with complex needs and are adept at tailoring support to meet unique requirements, we want to hear from you.

n

An understanding of the disability sector and person-centred support

n

Excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach

n





Flexible availability & a long-term commitment to Health

n

The role involves but not limited to:

n

Assistance with Social, Community access & Recreational Activities

n

Personal care (showering, toileting, and hygiene assistance)

n

Manual handling and the use of wheelchairs/hoists

n

Transportation

n

Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning

n

Mental health support

n

The legal right to work in Australia (Birth certificate/Citizenship/Visa)

n

A valid driver's license

n

NDIS Worker Screening Check

n

Working with Children Clearance

n

National Police Clearance

n

NDIS modules

n

Minimum 12 months experience in the disability/health industry

n

Two current professional references within the last two years
