Electrical / Telecommunications Trades Assistant –n
nPosition: Electrical or Telecommunications Trades Assistant Location: Western Australia (DAMA Region) Employment Type: Full time, ongoing Salary Range: $55,000 – $80,000 per annum (Visa Pathway: WA DAMA Labour Agreement – Subclass 482 ANZSCO: (Electrical TA) / (Telecommunications TA)n
nKey Duties (WA DAMA & SC482 aligned)n
n•Assisting licensed tradespersons — support electricians/technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair tasksn
n•Cable installation — pull, lay, terminate, and secure electrical or data cabling under supervisionn
n•Equipment setup — prepare tools, materials, ladders, testing devices, and work areasn
n•Site preparation — assist with drilling, mounting, fixing brackets, conduits, trays, and enclosuresn
n•Testing assistance — support licensed tradespersons with basic continuity tests, tagging, and safety checksn
n•Fault finding support — help identify issues by preparing equipment, documenting faults, and following instructionsn
n•Telecommunications support — assist with NBN, fibre,



copper, wireless, and structured cabling installationsn
n•Material handling — load/unload materials, organise stock, and maintain tool inventoryn
n•Safety compliance — follow WHS procedures, PPE requirements, lock out/tag out instructions, and site safety rulesn
n•Documentation — complete basic job sheets, material logs, and installation recordsn
n•General labouring — cleaning work areas, removing debris, and supporting tradespersons as requiredn
nRequired Qualifications & Experiencen
n•Minimum 1–2 years’ experience assisting electricians or telecommunications techniciansn
n•Basic understanding of electrical or data cabling systemsn
n•Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipmentn
n•White Card (mandatory)n
n•EWP, Working at Heights, or First Aid (advantageous)n
n•Strong physical fitness and ability to work in varied environmentsn
n•Valuable communication and teamwork skills
