n Rate: $46.12 per hour for Enrolled Nurses

Peregrine Partners is recruiting experienced Enrolled Nurses and Support Workers to join a new client support team in Banyo, North Brisbane.

n

Multiple casual opportunities are available for professionals experienced in supporting people with complex physical disabilities, acquired brain injury, mental health needs and behaviours of concern.

n

The client is a wheelchair user with high physical support requirements and requires a calm, consistent and safety-focused team capable of providing person-centred support within an established clinical and behavioural support framework.

n

About the Role
n You will provide individualised community-based support to a client with complex needs, including an acquired brain injury and high physical disability.
n The role may involve:

n

n
- Supporting a client with significant physical support requirements
n
- Mental health and behavioural support
n
- Supporting mobility and wheelchair-related needs
n
- Implementing established behaviour support strategies
n
- De-escalation and responding appropriately to behaviours of concern
n
- Working within established restrictive practices and risk-management strategies
n
- Supporting community access and daily living activities
n
- Maintaining accurate documentation, progress notes and handovers
n
- Working collaboratively with nursing, clinical and support teams
n
- Building professional rapport while maintaining clear boundaries
n

The client receives nursing support through DVA rather than the NDIS, so candidates with experience across disability, community care, mental health, rehabilitation, DVA or complex-care environments are encouraged to apply.

n

Roster and Working Hours




n The service requires support across a 24/7 roster, with shifts expected to include:

n

n
- 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
n
- 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm
n
- 10:00 pm to 7:00 am
n

n

The overnight component will consist of either active overnight shifts or sleepovers, with the final roster arrangement still to be confirmed.
n Candidates with flexibility across multiple shift types will be highly regarded.

n

About You
n We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

n

n
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
n
- High physical support needs
n
- Complex mental health
n
- Behaviours of concern
n
- Behaviour support and de-escalation
n
- Complex community care
n
- Disability support
n
- Rehabilitation
n
- Crisis intervention
n
- Working with restrictive practices or behaviour support plans
n

n

You will need to be calm under pressure, confident working in complex environments and able to establish strong qualified rapport while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

n

Mandatory Requirements
n For Enrolled Nurses:

- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
n
- Current First Aid certification
n
- Current CPR certification
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Current vehicle registration
n
- Motor vehicle insurance meeting Fortify Health's requirements
n

For Support Workers:

n

n
- Current Queensland Blue Card
n
- Current First Aid certification
n
- Current CPR certification
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Current vehicle registration

- Motor vehicle insurance meeting Fortify Health's requirements
