About the Role

n

This is an opportunity to join an established team in Mildura as an Employment Consultant delivering the Australian Government's Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program.

n

Managing a caseload of approximately 40 participants, you'll provide personalised support to people with disability, injury or health conditions, helping them identify and address barriers, build their capacity and move towards sustainable employment.

n

This is a highly relationship-focused role. You'll build trust with participants, understand their individual circumstances and employment goals, and connect them with the training, community support and employment opportunities they need to progress.

n

You'll also develop relationships with local employers to identify suitable vacancies and work closely with NDIS, training and community service providers to strengthen local referral pathways.

n

Success in this role will come from building genuine relationships,



maintaining participant engagement and balancing empathy and support with a strong focus on helping people progress towards sustainable employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

n

Manage a caseload of participants through personalised and structured case management

n

n
- Build strong relationships with participants and maintain positive ongoing engagement
n
- Identify barriers to employment and develop practical strategies to help participants progress
n
- Provide job readiness support, employment preparation and pathway planning
n
- Develop relationships with local employers and identify suitable employment opportunities
n
- Match and reverse market participants to appropriate vacancies
n
- Build relationships with NDIS, training, community and other referral partners
n




- Provide ongoing support to participants and employers following placement to help achieve sustainable outcomes
n
- Maintain accurate participant records and contractual compliance requirements
n
- Work towards employment and retention targets while delivering high-quality participant support
n

The ideal applicant will have:

n

n
- Experience in employment services, recruitment, community services, sales, customer service or another relationship and KPI-focused environment
n
- A genuine interest in helping people overcome barriers and achieve sustainable employment
n
- Robust relationship-building and communication skills
n
- The ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds and circumstances
n
- A proactive approach and the ability to balance participant support with employment outcomes
n
- Confidence engaging with employers and community organisations
n
- Resilience, empathy and strong problem-solving skills
n
- Good organisational and administration skills
n
- A current driver's licence
n

Previous experience within Employment Services or another government-funded employment program will be highly regarded, however candidates with transferable skills from sales, customer service, recruitment or other people-focused environments who are motivated by the opportunity to make a difference within their local community are also encouraged to apply.
