Location: Shaw, Townsville QLD
n Site: Holcim Quarry Lot 42 Bruce Highway, Shaw
n Pay Rate: $37.99 per hour
n Employment Type: Casual
n Roster: Monday to Friday
n Hours: 6:00am 4:00pm/6:00pm

About the Role

n

The successful candidate will operate both rigid haul trucks and front-end loaders, with opportunities to assist with fixed crushing operations and general quarry duties.

n

Our client is a leading supplier of concrete, aggregates and precast products. With over 100 years of Australian experience, they have a strong North Queensland presence.
n Their Bohle operations support construction and infrastructure projects. They combine local knowledge, safety, quality and sustainability as key priorities.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Operate rigid haul trucks
n
- Operate front-end loaders
n
- Assist with fixed crushing plant operations
n
- Run fixed crushers and screens
n
- Carry out general quarry labouring duties as required
n
- Follow all site safety procedures and operational requirements
n
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and site safety
n

n

About You

n

To be successful, you must have experience operating both a loader and rigid haul truck.

n

Quarry experience is highly desirable, followed by mining or civil construction experience.

n

Required Tickets

n

Loader one of the following:

n

n
- RII Conduct Front End Loader Operations
n
- RII Conduct Civil Construction Loader Operations
n

n

Important: Candidates holding an Articulated Haul Truck ticket only will not be accepted for this position.

n

An Excavator ticket would also be advantageous.

n

The role offers:

- $37.99 per hour
n
- Monday to Friday roster
n




- Approximately 6 months
n

n

Recruitment Requirements

- Traffic History covering the preceding 5 years where applicable
n
- Holcim role and site-specific inductions
n
- Ability to pass medical
n

n

PPE

n

Basic PPE will be supplied.

n

Articulated Haul Truck tickets are not accepted for this position.
