About Us

Sleep Doctor and Mobility Doctor Echuca is a long-established local business supplying bedding, mobility equipment and assistive technology throughout Echuca and the surrounding region.

n

We supply everything from mattresses and adjustable beds through to lift chairs, wheelchairs, walkers and other mobility and daily-living equipment.

n

We're looking for a reliable, practical and customer-focused person to join our team across deliveries, in-home installations and our mobility workshop.

n

The Role

n

This is a hands-on and varied position involving driving our delivery vans, delivering and installing products in customers' homes, and assisting with equipment assembly, preparation and workshop tasks at our Echuca store.

n

A significant part of the role involves working directly in customers' homes, including with older people and people living with disabilities. You'll be representing our business every time you make a delivery, so being professional, personable and comfortable dealing with customers is important.

n

While this is not primarily a sales position, previous retail or sales experience would be highly regarded. There may also be opportunities to assist customers in our showroom when required.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Drive company delivery vans throughout Echuca and surrounding regional areas
n
- Deliver bedding, adjustable beds,



mobility equipment and other products directly to customers
n
- Carry out in-home assembly, installation and setup of products
n
- Demonstrate basic product operation to customers following installation
n
- Safely load and unload delivery vehicles
n
- Complete manual handling and lifting as a regular part of the role
n
- Collect equipment and products when required
n
- Assemble and prepare new mobility equipment
n
- Assist with basic workshop repairs, servicing and maintenance
n
- Clean and prepare equipment for delivery or customer use
n
- Assist with stock movements and incoming deliveries
n
- Maintain delivery vehicles, workshop and storage areas in a clean and professional condition
n
- Provide a high standard of customer service during deliveries and installations
n
- Assist customers in-store when required and where comfortable
n

What We're Looking For

n

A current Australian driver's licence is essential.

n

You will also need to:

n

- Be confident and safe driving delivery vans
n
- Be physically capable of regular manual handling and lifting
n
- Be practical and comfortable assembling and installing products
n
- Be comfortable working inside customers' homes
n




- Be reliable, punctual and well presented
n
- Communicate confidently and professionally with customers
n
- Be respectful and patient when working with older people and people living with disabilities
n
- Be comfortable using basic hand and power tools
n
- Be able to work independently while also contributing to the broader team
n
- Be willing to learn about bedding, mobility and assistive equipment
n

Previous experience in deliveries, furniture installation, warehousing, mobility equipment, mechanical work or another hands-on role would be advantageous.

n

Retail or sales experience is not required, but would be a genuine advantage. The role involves regular interaction with customers in their homes, and there may also be opportunities to assist customers on the showroom floor.

n

NDIS Worker Screening and Police Checks will be required due to the nature of our work.

Our normal business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm, with some rostered Saturday work where required.
