Deakin University in Burwood are looking for a gun Barista to join the team.The Hours;Monday to Friday, weekly7am to 4pmnote: this is an ad-hoc casual position to build out a talent pool.We require an experienced Barista, comfortable working autonomously in a busy workplace and supply consistent quality coffee.
Must be able to work a POS system, make all types of Hot and Iced Beverages.The Role:Strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods, including espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art.Ability to operate and maintain commercial coffee machines and grinders.Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality and consistency.Robust communication and teamwork skills.Good organisational and multitasking abilities.Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.Assist with the set-up of a coffee cartServing customers and using POS terminal for paymentsWorking up to 3kg of coffee per dayAssist with some food serviceCleaning of the coffee cart and packdown
