Your key responsibilities will include:* Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing plumbing issues in Defence buildings and infrastructure.* Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters.* Ensuring all plumbing work complies with current legislation and regulatory standards.* Conducting routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems and pipework.* Collaborating with other maintenance staff and contractors to complete repairs and installations.* Maintaining accurate records of work performed,
including materials used and time spent.* Advising on the selection of materials and equipment for plumbing repairs and installations.* Providing technical support and guidance to junior staff and apprentices.* Identifying areas for process improvement and work collaboratively with teams to implement best practices.**About you**Our ideal candidate will have:* Experience in plumbing maintenance and repair work.* Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.* Minimum of Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent qualification, and valid Plumbing & Drainage Occupational Licence.* Licence endorsements for backflow prevention, heat pump water systems, in office sewerage facility maintenance, solar water systems, and thermostatic mixing valves would be highly desirable.
