Ben Laughren Tiling is a locally owned tiling business based in Toowoomba and is seeking someone to commence a full-time Wall and Floor Tiling apprenticeship.

n

This position would suit a school leaver.

n

This role offers hands-on training on real job sites, combined with formal off-the-job training through TAFE, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

n

No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.

n

Duties and responsibilities

n

Under supervision, the apprentice will learn to:

n

n
- Prepare surfaces for tiling, including waterproofing
n
- Measure, cut, lay, and finish wall and floor tiles
n
- Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants
n
- Use hand and power tools safely
n
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
n
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
n




- Work as part of a small team on residential and/or commercial sites
n

About you

n

To be successful in this role, applicants must:

n

n
- Be a recent school leaver or entry-level candidate
n
- Have a genuine interest in learning a trade
n
- Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
n
- Be physically capable of manual work
n
- Be able to get themselves to and from work sites each day > Sites are local to Toowoomba
n
- Be willing to obtain a Construction White Card
n

Desirable (but not essential):

- Driver's licence or working towards one
n

n
