Located in the hub of the CBD, Tamworth Oral Health and Dental Care is a friendly and growing practice consisting of 4 dentists and a 5-chair clinic.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Dental Assistant / Receptionist All-Rounder to join our team. This position is initially offered as a maternity leave cover, with the opportunity for the position to be extended or become ongoing for the right person.

Our practice hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday depending on appointment demand.

About the role
n
As an all-rounder, you will have the prospect to work across both our clinical and front-of-house areas, with your day-to-day duties varying according to the needs of the practice.
n
We are looking for someone who is bubbly, honest, reliable, proactive, courteous and trustworthy, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to adapt to a busy environment and embrace change is important, as is a genuine commitment to providing a positive experience for our patients.
n
Previous dental experience is preferred; however, on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.
n
Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:
n
n
- Chair-side dental assisting.
n
- Sterilising equipment and maintaining high infection control standards.
n
- Liaising between the front office, reception and dentists.
n
- Clinical logging and maintaining accurate records.
n
- Answering phone calls and assisting with patient enquiries.
n
- Making and managing patient appointments.
n
- Processing payments, including HICAPS.
n
- Filing and maintaining patients' digital records.
n
- Providing friendly and professional patient care throughout their visits.
n
- Assisting with general day-to-day practice duties as required.
n
