We're looking for an experienced Communications Technician to join a large mining operation in Central Queensland.

n

The role will initially operate on a day-shift roster, supporting site communications, wireless networks and fleet management technology across a large mobile equipment fleet. There may be a requirement to move onto day/night coverage in the future, so flexibility is preferred.

The Role

n

You'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting a range of operational technology across site, including:

n

- Radio communications systems
n
- Motorola / P25 systems
n
- LTE communications
n
- Fleet management systems including Modular
n
- Wireless equipment across mobile mining fleet
n
- Terrain and associated mining technology
n
- Fault finding, inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance
n
- Supporting upgrades and installation work
n

You don't need experience across every system. We're looking for someone with a solid communications or wireless background who is willing to learn, take ownership and broaden their technical capability.

About You

n

Ideally, you'll bring:

n

n
- Mining or heavy industrial communications experience
n
- Radio, wireless or telecommunications background
n
- Exposure to Motorola, P25, Cisco, LTE or similar systems
n
- Fleet management / Modular experience highly regarded
n
- Strong fault-finding skills and quality workmanship
n
- Willingness to learn new systems and technologies
n
- Flexibility to work days/nights if required
n
