Experienced Wall & Floor Tiler – Career Progression to Project Manager

$85,000 – $95,000 + Superannuation, depending on experience

About the role

n

One Stop Bath & Tiles is looking for an experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join our growing bathroom renovation team in Brisbane.

n

This is a full-time, hands-on position primarily focused on professional wall and floor tiling for residential bathroom renovation projects.

n

The successful candidate will initially work primarily as a Wall & Floor Tiler, while also assisting with the day-to-day coordination and supervision of approximately 1–2 bathroom renovation projects at a time.

n

This is not an office-only Project Manager role.

n

As you become familiar with our renovation system and gain experience across the complete renovation process, you will gradually become more involved in trade coordination, scheduling, quality control and site management.

n

Over time, the role is intended to develop into a Project Manager position, managing multiple renovation projects, coordinating trades and eventually assisting with renovation operations across several locations within our growing network.

n

For the right person, this is an opportunity to move beyond working solely as a tiler and develop a long-term career in project and renovation management.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Professional wall and floor tiling for residential bathroom renovations
n
- Measuring and setting out wall and floor tiling works
n
- Preparing surfaces and substrates for tiling
n
- Cutting, laying, aligning and finishing wall and floor tiles
n
- Grouting and silicone finishing
n
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
n




- Assisting with the coordination and supervision of approximately 1–2 renovation projects at a time
n
- Coordinating with plumbers, electricians, demolition contractors, carpenters, painters and other subcontractors
n
- Monitoring project schedules and daily site progress
n
- Organising trades and preparing upcoming stages of work
n
- Checking workmanship and maintaining company quality standards
n
- Identifying and resolving day-to-day site issues
n
- Organising and checking materials required for each project
n
- Communicating with the office, subcontractors and renovation team
n
- Keeping the office updated on project progress and site issues
n
- Assisting with the training and supervision of tilers and renovation team members as the role develops
n

About you

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Minimum 3 years' professional Wall & Floor Tiling experience
n
- Strong wall and floor tiling skills
n
- Experience working on residential bathroom renovations
n
- Good understanding of bathroom renovation processes
n
- Ability to read plans, measure, set out and complete tiling work independently
n
- High attention to detail and workmanship
n
- Strong problem-solving skills
n
- Good communication and organisational skills
n
- Ability to coordinate with different trades and subcontractors
n
- Reliable, responsible and able to work independently

- Current Australian driver's licence
n
- Ability to travel between renovation sites across Brisbane and surrounding areas
n
- A genuine interest in developing from a hands-on tradesperson into a Project Manager / renovation management role
n

A relevant Wall & Floor Tiling qualification will be highly regarded.
