Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join a busy manufacturing operation in Albury. This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working on the floor, leading by example and making sure production stays on track.

You will be the go to person for the team, keeping machinery running efficiently, supporting operators, maintaining quality and ensuring daily production targets are achieved.

ROLE

n

n
- Lead and support a team of production operators.
n
- Set up, adjust and change over production machinery including rollformers, punching, folding and cutting equipment.
n
- Troubleshoot machinery issues and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
n
- Ensure daily targets and customer orders are achieved.
n
- Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve production issues.
n
- Conduct inprocess quality checks and ensure products meet required standards.
n
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe operating procedures are followed.
n
- Train and mentor new team members and assist with cross-skilling operators.
n
- Run toolbox talks, start of shift meetings and handovers when required.

REQUIREMENTS

n

n




- Previous team leadership or people management experience is advantageous.
n
- Mechanical trade background such as Machinist or Fitter.
n
- Proven previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
n
- Experience setting up, adjusting and fault finding production machinery.
n
- Robust mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
n
- A strong focus on safety, quality and productivity.
n
- The ability to train, coach and motivate a team.
n
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine lead from the front attitude.
n
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
n
