Due to our continued growth and success, we are now seeking experienced Conveyor Technicians - Belt Splicers or Conveyor Technicians Mechanical to join our Service team at Emerald Branch on a permanent full time basis working on shutdowns, conveyor installation, and general belt repairs and maintenance throughout the greater Emerald region.

Roster & Conditions

n

n
- 4/3 roster, Monday to Friday
n
- Minimum 40 hours week, permanent position
n
- Overtime opportunities built into shift
n

What we're looking for: Belt Splicer

n

n
- Proven experience in conveyor belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installations of fabric belt;
n
- Ability to identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair;
n




- General conveyor maintenance experience
n
- Experience operating mechanical conveyor belt handling equipment;
n
- Valid Driver's Licence preferably MR License;
n
- Current/valid Forklift ticket and Driver's Licence (MR- preferred)
n
- Certificate II or III in Polymer Processing, whilst not essential, would be advantageous
n
- Dogging or Rigging ticket (desirable)
n
- Willingness to work outside of hours as required, and unlimited working rights in Australia
n

Mechanical

n

n
- Prior experience with conveyor systems, or those with highly skilled mechanical background
n
- Abide by site and company safety policies and procedures.
n
- Current valid Driver's licence - HR driver's licence desirable
n
- Ability to work overtime.
n
- Mining Industry experience - desirable
n
- QLD Coal Board Medical or ability to successfully obtain (Company funded)
n
- Tickets: Working at Heights, Confined Spaces - desirable
n
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker desirable
n
- Unlimited working rights in Australia
