What you'll be doing

n

Help good people do great things.

n

A volunteer can be the difference between a lonely afternoon and a good conversation. A reason to get out of the house. A familiar face to look forward to seeing each week.

n

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you'll help make those connections happen.

n

This is a part-time role working 45.6 hours per fortnight. Our preference is for the role to be worked across three days per week (Wednesday to Friday), however we're open to discussing alternative days for the right person. The role can be based from either our Maroochydore office on the Sunshine Coast or our Hervey Bay office in the Wide Bay region. The successful candidate will spend time out in the community connecting with volunteers, local organisations and the people we support, with travel required across their region as part of the role.

Working closely with the Volunteer Team Leader, you'll recruit, onboard and support volunteers across our programs, including the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS).



You'll help match volunteers with people in the community, build relationships with local partners, and make sure volunteers feel welcomed, informed and supported throughout their journey.

You'll also:

- Be the first point of contact for volunteer enquiries

- Coordinate volunteer matches and schedules
n
- Support volunteer training and engagement activities
n
- Build relationships with community organisations and referral partners
n
- Maintain accurate records and reporting
n
- Help promote volunteer opportunities across our communities
n

You'll thrive in this role if...

You know how to juggle moving pieces without losing sight of the person at the centre of it all. You communicate clearly, stay calm when plans change, and genuinely enjoy helping people find meaningful ways to contribute to your community.

Most importantly, you understand that behind every volunteer match is a real person looking for connection.

You'll also have:

- A qualification in Business Administration, Community Development or a related field, or experience in a similar role
n
- Experience coordinating volunteers, services, programs or teams
n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
- Excellent organisational and time management skillsConfidence using Microsoft Office applications and databases
n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality
n
- A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel when required
n
