Job Description

Substance Espresso is seeking a skilled Cafe Chef to join our team in our Runaway Bay. As an A la carte Brunch Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for our customers in a fast-paced cafe workplace.

What you'll be doing

n

Preparing and cooking a range of cafe-style meals, including breakfast, lunch, and snack items

n

Working in one of the 3 kitchen stations for weekend service, grill/fryer section / pans/eggs section or larder .

n

Ensuring all dishes are prepared to a high standard and delivered in a timely manner

n

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace

n

Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

n

What we're looking for

n

Relevant experience as a Cafe Chef or Cook, preferably in a fast-paced environment as our dockets don't stop

n

Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation

n

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities

n

A passion for creating delicious, high-quality cafe-style dishes

n

Ability to work well in a team and a positive, customer-focused attitude

n





Food safety and hygiene certification

n

Friday - Sunday availability essential (with flexibility for requesting weekends off for life commitments when needed)

n

Casual with approx 20 - 24 hours a week in Friday - Sunday daytime shifts.
