About the Role

n

Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand and seeking experienced Bogger Operators to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand's South Island.

n

As part of this exciting opportunity, Macmahon will deliver underground development, production and backfill services from October 2026.

n

We are looking for safety-focused operators with proven underground mining experience operating Sandvik and CAT Load-Haul-Dump (LHD) equipment.



Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting safe and productive underground operations while contributing to our growing underground team.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Safe, efficient operation of the Sandvik and CAT underground loaders.
n
- Conduct regular inspection of the loader and report any damages.
n
- Ensure accurate end of shift reports and other relevant documents are completed and submitted
n
- Provide clear and effective communication.
n
- Keep the trucks operating at full efficiency ensuring all ore, low grade, marginal and waste are kept separate.
n
- Prepared to undertake other tasks and labouring duties as required.
n
- Complete pre-starts and report hazards or defects immediately.
n
- Follow plans, instructions and traffic management rules.
n

What You'll Bring

- Minimum 12 months experience operating the Sandvik and CAT underground loaders.
n
- Strong safety focus and ability to speak up.
n

- Valid Class 1 (unrestricted manual) New Zealand drivers licence (essential) with a Dangerous Goods (D) endorsement (desirable).
