Job Description

Our Trade Waiter works closely with the Restaurant Manager and Senior Management Team to ensure seamless operations and a positive guest experience. This is a hands-on role that also involves all operational aspects of the venue management including team leadership, supervision, and of course food and beverage service.

Key responsibilities

- Setting and arranging tables
n
- Taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists
n
- Recommending dishes and wines to complement food (particularly in fine-dining establishments)
n
- Taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff
n
- Serving food and beverages
n
- Opening bottles and pouring beverages including mixing liquor and assisting in the cellar
n
- Clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen; removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses
n
- Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registers
n
- Meeting operational goals (KPI's) and working within agreed systems, policies, procedures and authority levels
n




- Ensuring upkeep of the venue is at the highest level and reporting otherwise
n

- Maintain currency of RSA certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles
n
- Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate liquor licensing guidelines and Company policies
n
- Punctual, organised and trustworthy

- Qualified appearance

- Willingness to take initiative and make decisions
n
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours
n
- Full Australian working rights

- Exceptional command of English
