We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Sandwich Hand Customer Service to join the Small Doses Cafe team in St Leonard's.. This is a position that combines hands-on food preparation with genuine customer engagement. You will be the face of our cafe, creating delicious sandwiches whilst delivering exceptional service that keeps our customers coming back. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in both the quality of their work and the relationships they build with our patrons.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing fresh sandwiches and other food items to order, following recipes and maintaining consistent quality standards
- Taking customer orders efficiently and accurately, both face-to-face and potentially via phone or online channels
- Operating the till and processing payments with accuracy and professionalism
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace, adhering to food safety regulations and cafe standards
- Restocking ingredients, supplies and display items throughout your shift
- Engaging with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, offering recommendations and resolving any queries or concerns
- Working collaboratively with team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Contributing to a positive cafe atmosphere and upholding Small Doses Cafe's reputation for quality and hospitality

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working in a food preparation or hospitality setting, ideally in a cafe or sandwich shop setting
- You must be available everyday Monday to Friday with a 6am or 7am start




- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously with diverse clientele
- Competence in basic food preparation techniques and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and capable of working flexibly within a part-time schedule
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak service times
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
- A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for delivering a great customer experience
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Preferred: Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to obtain one
