MBG Solar is looking for reliable Trade Assistants who want to work hard, earn good money and build experience in large-scale renewable energy.

People from construction, electrical, civil, mechanical, agricultural, warehousing and other hands‑on backgrounds are encouraged to apply. You do not need solar farm experience or specialised knowledge. We're more interested in your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

You'll typically work 11-hour days from Monday to Friday and 5 hours on Saturday. Additional hours may also be available when project conditions allow.

Working arrangements will be discussed individually based on your availability and the requirements of each project. This is physical, outdoor work in regional and remote locations.

The work

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with pulling 400mm² DC cables through trenches
- Installing above-ground cable harnesses
- Handling, positioning and securing cables
- Preparing and moving materials
- Assisting electricians and other trades
- General solar farm construction work

This is hands‑on, physically demanding work. You'll need to be comfortable working outdoors, handling heavy cables and contributing as part of a site team.

What we’re looking for

Previous solar farm experience is not required.

You'll be a good fit if you:

- Follow instructions and learn quickly
- Work well as part of a team
- Take pride in getting the job done properly
- Are available to work away from home

We're not looking for someone who claims to know everything. We want someone dependable, willing to learn and motivated to work.
