Synopsis

Venue Support Assistant

- Casual Position
- $35.81 per hour + superannuation and casual loading.

The Cube Wodonga is looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to join our casual Venue Support Assistant team. From welcoming audiences and serving at the bar to setting up events and supporting venue operations, you'll play an important role in creating outstanding experiences for performers, hirers and the community.

Key Aspects Of The Role

- Create Exceptional Customer Experiences As a Venue Assistant, you'll work across a variety of functions preparing the venue for events as well as delivering outstanding customer service welcoming and assisting patrons, helping to create memorable experiences.
- Support the Delivery of Live Events Assist with event set-up and pack-down, provide front of house services as an usher, support bar operations, and help ensure performances, conferences and community events are delivered safely, professionally and seamlessly.
- Work Across Diverse Venue Functions Opportunities include theatre ushering, bar service, ticketing, supporting technical staff with basic lighting, sound and audiovisual activities.




- Be Part of a Collaborative Team Work alongside experienced venue professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality events and cultural experiences that strengthen community connection and contribute to Wodonga's vibrant arts and entertainment scene.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking reliable and enthusiastic people who enjoy working with others, providing great customer service, and contributing to the successful delivery of live theatre performances, conferences and community events. You'll be willing to learn new skills, undertake basic manual handling tasks, and take pride in creating exceptional experiences for our patrons.

You Will Ideally Bring

- Experience in event delivery, customer service, hospitality, venue operations or technical event support would be highly regarded.
- A passion for live theatre, performing arts and delivering exceptional event experiences.
- A positive, professional and team-oriented approach.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- The ability to adapt to changing event requirements and priorities.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and safety requirements.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods,



climb stairs, and safely lift items up to 10 kg.
- A willingness to learn new skills and contribute across a range of venue operations, including ushering, bar service and event set-up activities.

Depending on the role(s) you wish to be considered for, the following may be a requirement:

- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Point-of-sale systems
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid qualification
- Warden Training

Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to provide the following.

- A copy of a recent National Police Check (less than 3 months)
- A current driver’s licence
- Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia

The completion of a pre-employment functional assessment (paid for by the council) will also be required.
