3Eightnine Scarborough is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our hospitality team on a casual basis . Based in Scarborough, QLD 4020, this role is perfect for someone looking for flexible work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary operations, ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and hygiene.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and organising ingredients for cooking and food service

Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils and work surfaces to maintain health and safety standards

Assisting chefs with food preparation tasks including chopping, peeling and basic food assembly

Managing kitchen waste and ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed

Loading and operating dishwashers and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen

Supporting food service by organising plates and containers for meal delivery

Restocking kitchen supplies and monitoring inventory levels

Following all food safety regulations and company hygiene policies

Responding to changing demands during service periods and assisting team members as needed

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in a kitchen or food preparation environment is desirable

A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices





Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

Ability to work efficiently in a busy and fast-paced environment

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Reliability and punctuality, particularly important for casual shift work

Willingness to follow instructions and learn new skills

A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
