This is a permanent part-time (0.6FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2027.

The Role

The successful applicant will ideally be an outstanding educator with a strong belief that all students can achieve success. They will ideally display highly effective teaching practices, high expectations, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Experience teaching ATAR Media Production and Analysis is highly desirable, along with the ability to deliver engaging and rigorous programs aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.

Willetton SHS is seeking an innovative and technically skilled Media teacher with a vision for revitalising and growing the Media program across Years 7 to 12. The successful applicant should bring contemporary industry knowledge and expertise in areas such as digital video production, editing, photography, audio production, content creation, and emerging media technologies. They should be excited by the opportunity to develop engaging learning experiences, strengthen student pathways, and enhance the profile of Media within the school. A key focus of this work will be development of teaching and assessment programs to provide an authentic and innovative student experience of the curriculum.

The successful applicant will ideally be student-focused, enthusiastic, and collaborative,



with excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills. They should display the ability to build positive relationships, motivate students, differentiate learning, and implement high-impact teaching strategies that maximise student achievement.
