Help Deliver Christmas Across Victoria

Christmas Display Solutions is one of Australia's leading providers of commercial Christmas displays, decorations, festive installations, and seasonal experiences.

We partner with shopping centres, councils, commercial property groups, hotels, corporate clients, and public spaces to create memorable festive experiences that engage visitors and transform environments.

As we ramp up for the season, we are seeking casual Christmas Display Decorators to install and dress Christmas displays throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria, beginning late October.

We're looking for people with a genuine eye for detail, the kind of person who will step back, look at a tree, and adjust a bauble because it isn't quite right. You'll be meticulous, hands-on, and take real pride in how a finished display looks.

About the Role

You’ll work as part of an installation team from late October- early December, dressing trees and displays to a high standard, then a break over Christmas; returning in late December through to mid-January to carefully dismantle and pack everything down.

Shifts run during the day or overnight, with shifts of up to 10 hours common. You’ll either meet the team at our warehouse to travel to site together, or make your own way to each job.

Experienced decorators may also be considered for team leader or project management roles within the company.

Key Responsibilities

- Install Christmas trees, displays, and decorations on site to a high standard of finish.
- Meticulously place baubles, ornaments, and lighting with a genuine eye for detail.
- Step back and assess each display, adjusting placement until it's right.
- Handle decorations carefully to avoid damage during installation.




- Work efficiently as part of a team to complete each site within schedule.
- Carefully dismantle displays from late December through to mid-January.
- Pack decorations and equipment correctly for storage and re-use.
- Report any damaged stock for repair or replacement.

Site & Team Coordination

- Meet at the warehouse or travel independently to site as rostered.
- Work day or night shifts, including shifts of up to 10 hours.
- Follow site safety requirements and company policies at all times.
- Communicate clearly with your team leader and fellow crew members.

You’re hands-on, patient, and take pride in a job well done. You notice the details other people miss, and you don’t consider a display finished until it looks right.

- Close attention to detail.
- Comfortable and confident working with your hands.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Versatile and adaptable — able to resolve issues quickly and keep each install seamless.
- Physical stamina and strength.

Highly Desirable

- Experience installing events, displays, or visual merchandising.
- Previous experience with Christmas or seasonal decorating.
- Availability across both the October–December install period and the January dismantle.
- Working with Children Check or ability to gain the accreditation.
