ABOUT THE ROLE
Working as part of an installation team, you will assist with the set‑up and installation of Christmas displays and pop‑up activations across various council locations throughout Melbourne.
Locations may include:
- Kensington
- Melton
- Hume
- Torquay
- Other Melbourne locations as required
Work period: November 2026 – January 2027
Shift length: 8–12 hours
Employment: Casual / seasonal
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Christmas Installation Labourer, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the installation and set‑up of Christmas displays and pop‑up sites
- Loading, unloading and moving equipment and materials
- Assisting trades and installation teams on‑site
- Using basic hand tools and equipment as required
- Following instructions and site procedures
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
- Working efficiently as part of a team to meet installation deadlines
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands‑on work
- Able to work long shifts of 8–12 hours
- Comfortable working outdoors and across different locations
- Able to follow instructions and work well within a team
- Flexible with availability throughout the Christmas installation period
- Professional and safety‑conscious
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
- Previous labouring, construction, events or installation experience is highly regarded
- Previous scissor lift experience is required
- Scissor lift ticket/licence or relevant certification where required
- Ability to safely perform manual handling and physical work
- Reliable transport to and from various Melbourne work sites is highly regarded
- Availability from November through to January
- Must have the right to work in Australia
