ABOUT THE POSITION

Illaroo Cooperative Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a part time Community Care Worker. This is an Aboriginal identified position.

As a Community Care Worker, you will:

- Support our community clients with daily living tasks including personal care, transport, accompanied shopping, social support, and meal preparation.
- Work in line with clients’ individual care plans.
- Promote client independence, dignity, and choice.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries at all times.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- Previous experience in the Aged Care or Disability sector is essential
- Current driver's license and access to a fully maintained and insured vehicle
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational, communication,



and time management skills
- Proof of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations
- Empathy and a caring attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting elderly people and making a difference in their lives
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to use a smartphone and/or tablet, or willingness to learn
- Proof of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations

As part of the recruitment and selection process, you will be required to provide a National Criminal History Check.
