Certificate III Engineering – Heavy Fabrication (Boilermaker) Apprentice

Are you looking to kick‑start your career in engineering and become a qualified Boilermaker ? This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team and gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of industries and engineering projects.

As a 1st Year Certificate III Engineering – Heavy Fabrication (Boilermaking) Apprentice , you’ll work across both workshop and site environments, learning from highly experienced tradespeople while developing a broad range of practical engineering and fabrication skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of work, including:

- Fabrication and sheet metal work
- Welding and mechanical components
- Machine maintenance across a variety of industries
- Machine installation and relocation
- Modification and design of machinery
- Shutdown work
- Machining and optical alignments
- Rigging and pipe work
- General engineering and maintenance tasks
- Problem‑solving and fault‑finding
- Working safely on‑site and in the workshop

No two days will necessarily be the same, giving you the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and experience throughout your apprenticeship.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Committed to completing their apprenticeship and learning the trade
- Interested in engineering, machinery, welding and mechanical components
- Confident with Mathematics and English
- Able to communicate effectively,



both verbally and in writing
- Well presented, enthusiastic and reliable
- Detail‑oriented and willing to learn
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Committed to working safely and following all site WHS requirements
- Willing to undertake regional travel as part of a supervised team
- Keen to develop practical skills and build a long‑term career in engineering
