With continued business growth and network expansion across New South Wales, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded HR Business Partner to lead the HR function and provide strategic and operational people support across our NSW business.

About the Role

Reporting to senior management and working closely with the national HR team, the Senior HR Business Partner will serve as the key HR leader for New South Wales.

This is a hands-on HR leadership role responsible for partnering with senior management and operational leaders across multiple business locations. You will provide end-to-end HR support across employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, organisational development, and HR compliance.

The successful candidate will be commercially minded, confident in managing complex ER/IR matters, and capable of operating independently in a fast-paced and rapidly growing business environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnering

- Act as the primary HR partner for the NSW business and provide professional HR advice to senior management and operational leaders.

- Partner with business leaders to understand operational priorities and develop practical people solutions.

- Provide HR support across multiple business locations and functions.

- Support organisational growth, workforce planning, restructuring, and business transformation initiatives.

Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

- Lead and manage employee relations and industrial relations matters across the NSW business.





- Provide professional advice on performance management, misconduct, grievances, workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, and termination matters.

- Manage complex and sensitive employee matters in a professional and commercially appropriate manner.

- Ensure HR practices comply with the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, employment contracts, company policies, and other relevant workplace legislation.

- Support senior management in identifying and managing workplace risks.

Performance & Talent Management

- Lead probation reviews, performance management processes, and employee development initiatives.

- Partner with managers to improve employee performance, capability, and accountability.

- Support succession planning, talent identification, and leadership development.

- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives across the NSW business.

Recruitment & Workforce Planning

- Partner with business leaders to identify current and future workforce requirements.

- Oversee recruitment activities for key operational, management, and corporate positions.

- Support the development of effective recruitment strategies for a rapidly growing business.

- Ensure effective onboarding and offboarding processes across the NSW operations.

HR Compliance & Governance

- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and employment practices are consistently implemented across the business.

- Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records.

- Support HR audits, compliance reviews, and risk management initiatives.

- Monitor changes in Australian employment legislation and provide practical recommendations to management.

Organisational Development & HR Projects

- Support business expansion, new site openings,



organisational restructuring, and other key business projects.

- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, systems, and processes.

- Work collaboratively with the national HR team to ensure consistency while addressing the specific needs of the NSW business.

- Identify opportunities to improve organisational effectiveness and employee experience.

About You

Essential Requirements

- Significant experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, HR Manager, or similar generalist HR role .

- Strong hands‑on experience managing complex Employee Relations and Industrial Relations (ER/IR) matters.

- Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and Australian employment legislation .

- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior management and operational leaders.

- Ability to independently manage sensitive workplace matters and provide practical, commercially focused HR advice.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑site, and rapidly changing business environment.

- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Employment Relations, or a related discipline.

Highly Regarded

- Previous experience in the automotive, retail, dealership, or other multi‑site operational environments.

- Experience supporting rapidly growing or transforming businesses.

- Experience establishing or developing HR functions, policies, and processes.

- Bilingual communication skills in English and Mandarin.
