Your New Role

As the valued right hand to an industry-leading specialist partner supported by a paralegal, you will love resolving a full spectrum of intellectually stimulating +interesting disputes (Superior Courts & Land & Environment Courts) relating to:

- all aspects of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and related legislation;
- development applications (Das), complying Das and exempt development.
- applications to amend LEPs and planning proposals;
- voluntary planning agreements and developer contributions.
- easements and access to land ;
- land contamination, pollution, remediation and voluntary management proposals.
- directors’ duties and liabilities under planning and setting regulations.




- critical habitat and the operation of threatened species conservation legislation.
- site and environmental audits, due diligence and environmental impact assessment;
- regulatory compliance and enforcement;
- Land and Environment Court Applications and Appeals.

Who you are

We are interested in hearing from you if you:

- are admitted as a solicitor in NSW;
- have minimum 2 yrs or more (up to senior associate) hands-on environmental/planning/local government law litigation experience (essential) preferably acting for applicants (ie developers/private entities);
- have strong communication, research, negotiation, advocacy and client management skills;
- are practical, adaptable, commercial, dead-line driven and results-oriented;
- are hungry to advance your career LONG-TERM as a specialist environmental/planning lawyer with a top premier specialist firm.
