From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.Permanent full-time | Brisbane or Sydney | Hybrid workingAre you an experienced scheduling or workforce-planning leader who understands that an effective roster is about much more than filling shifts?The Salvation Army Aged Care is seeking a commercially aware and highly collaborative Scheduling Manager to lead workforce scheduling across our residential aged care services.Supporting a workforce of approximately 2,600 employees, you will lead an experienced team of seven and help our services maintain approved rosters, meet care-minute requirements and improve critical workforce outcomes.This is an opportunity to influence operational performance across a complex, multi-site environment while contributing directly to quality care and the long-term sustainability of our services.About the roleReporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, you will lead a well-established and experienced Scheduling Team, and work closely with Centre Managers, operational leaders, People and Culture, Talent Acquisition, payroll and workforce-systems teams.You will provide the systems, reporting, advice and leadership needed to support effective workforce planning across our residential aged care services.Your key responsibilities will include:Leading, coaching and supporting a team of sevenEnsuring shifts are scheduled and covered in accordance with approved rostersMonitoring performance against workforce KPIs and care-minute targetsProviding explicit workforce-planning reports, insights and advice to operational leadersMonitoring agency usage, overtime,



vacant shifts and other key workforce indicatorsPartnering with Centre Managers to identify risks and improve roster performanceMaintaining accurate master roster templates across residential aged care servicesSupporting compliant rostering practices across relevant awards and enterprise agreementsUsing UKG, Emprevo and Workday to support efficient scheduling, workforce reporting and information flowIdentifying and implementing improvements to workforce processes, reporting and systemsWorking with internal stakeholders to strengthen workforce capability and operational sustainabilityAbout youYou are an experienced workforce scheduling leader who can balance operational detail with broader organisational outcomes.You understand how roster design, workforce data and scheduling decisions affect service delivery, compliance, employee costs and financial performance. Just as importantly, you know that sustainable improvement depends on strong relationships and the ability to influence operational leaders.You will bring:Significant experience in workforce scheduling, rostering or workforce planning within a large and complex organisationPrevious experience leading and developing a scheduling or workforce teamStrong knowledge of workforce KPIs, roster performance and payroll-related processesExperience working within award or enterprise agreement environmentsAdvanced Excel and workforce-data analysis capabilityExperience using UKG, Emprevo, Workday or comparable workforce-management technologyStrong reporting, analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholdersA practical approach to continuous improvement and changeA tertiary qualification in human resources, business, workforce management or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.Experience within residential aged care,
