The Opportunity

Are you an experienced maintenance leader with strong supervisory skills and a passion for heavy mining equipment maintenance ? Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Leading Hand to join our high-performing team at Caval Ridge .

As a key member of the Caval Ridge team, you'll be responsible for leading a maintenance crew to safely and efficiently maintain a world-class mining fleet, while supporting operational performance and productivity across site .

Roster: 7/7 (Days & Nights) | Location: Caval Ridge, QLD | Employment Type: Full Time

As the Maintenance Leading Hand, you will:

- Lead and supervise a maintenance crew, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Perform servicing, repairs, diagnostics and maintenance activities across Caterpillar, Liebherr and Komatsu mining equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance activities, manage parts requirements and provide supervisory coverage for the Maintenance Supervisor when required.

About you

- Current G1, G8, G9 Supervisor Competencies and G2, with demonstrated experience supervising maintenance activities on an operational mine site.
- Relevant Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle trade qualification.
- Proven experience working on Caterpillar, Liebherr and Komatsu mining equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in servicing, maintenance, breakdown repairs, component change-outs and equipment diagnostics.
- Solid safety focus,



attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Experience using JDE, OEM computer-based systems and interpreting oil analysis reports.
