$77K PA - $85K PA O'BRIENS PLUMBING AND AIR CONDITIONING PTY LTD is looking for a full-time Electrician for their thriving business. O’Briens Plumbing & Air Conditioning is a family-owned and operated business serving Wangaratta and North East Victoria for over 30 years.

The company provides a comprehensive range of plumbing, heating, cooling, refrigeration, electrical, gas, hot water, roofing, renovation, and emergency repair services, backed by qualified technicians and professional installation and servicing. O’Briens also supplies leading heating and cooling brands, including air conditioners, ducted gas heating, evaporative cooling systems, gas heaters, and wood fireplaces, with a strong focus on reliable service and quality products. To be considered for the role, you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position.

- Read and interpret electrical plans, technical drawings and job specifications before commencing installation or repair work.
- Carry out electrical installations for residential and commercial projects, including wiring, lighting, power outlets, switches and related equipment.
- Install and upgrade switchboards, safety switches and other electrical control and protection equipment.
- Complete cable installation, termination and connection work in accordance with project and safety requirements.




- Perform electrical testing and fault-finding using appropriate diagnostic equipment to identify electrical problems efficiently.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and complete repairs or replacement of damaged wiring, components and equipment.
- Test completed electrical work to confirm correct operation and compliance with applicable safety requirements.
- Carry out electrical connections required for heating, cooling, air-conditioning and other building services.
- Undertake scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance of electrical installations and equipment.
- Attend residential and commercial service calls, diagnose electrical issues and undertake the required repairs.
- Identify electrical defects or safety concerns and recommend appropriate corrective action.
- Work collaboratively with the company's plumbing, refrigeration and air-conditioning tradespeople when completing integrated installation and maintenance projects.
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment and ensure electrical work complies with relevant regulations, Australian Standards and company procedures.
