If you’re looking for your next Occupational Therapy position and don't want to spend your first several months wondering when your caseload will actually build, this opportunity offers an established clinical workplace from day one.

You’ll join a well-established Newcastle paediatric service supporting children and adolescents aged approximately 2–18 years , with existing referral pathways and an experienced multidisciplinary team already in place.

What Your Caseload Looks Like: The role is approximately:
50% Clinic | 50% School/Community
Your community work is predominantly school-based , helping avoid the constant driving between home appointments that comes with many community OT roles.

School visits are generally located within approximately 30 minutes of the clinic .

You’ll work across areas including:

- Autism
- ADHD
- Developmental differences
- Sensory processing
- Emotional regulation
- Executive functioning
- Fine and gross motor skills
- Self-care
- School participation
- Independence

The majority of the caseload involves children with Level 1 and Level 2 Autism , with more complex presentations allocated depending on experience.

Structured Clinical Days Clinic appointments are generally:
45 minutes clinical time + 15 minutes documentation

Community visits can also be grouped together, allowing you to structure your diary sensibly and complete associated reporting and administration later in the day.

Requirements

- Occupational Therapy qualification
- Full AHPRA registration
- Minimum 1 year OT experience
- Driver's licence and vehicle
- WWCC
- National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
