About the Role
Canterbury Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community, focused on patient and family-centred care. Since opening in 1929 our hospital continues to grow to meet the changing needs of our community and incorporate new models of care.
This position is responsible for the co-ordination and leadership of the Administrative Staff in Emergency Department (ED), Switchboard and Ambulatory Care at Canterbury Hospital, which includes supervision, rostering and management of the clerical staff in these portfolios to ensure adequate administrative support for clinical services within ambulatory care, ED and Switchboard across the hospital. This position requires a strong focus on customer service and efficiency, with a responsibility for driving exceptional performance to achieve service, revenue and patient data accuracy related targets.

- Previous experience in the management, supervision and training of staff with a demonstrated ability to motivate and support staff to drive performance.
- Prior knowledge and experience in roster management with a proven capacity to effectively maintain and adapt a roster to meet organisational needs.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills with a demonstrated capability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of key stakeholders.
