Peppermint iT Pty Ltd We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist / Analyst to analyse security threats and vulnerabilities, investigate incidents and strengthen security controls across our clients' Microsoft 365 and endpoint environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse security alerts from SentinelOne, NinjaOne and Microsoft 365 and investigate suspicious activity and potential compromise.
Investigate security incidents to determine root cause, attack vector, extent of compromise and impact on client systems, data and user accounts. Analyse remediation and recovery options and determine appropriate responses to identified security incidents. Assess client security posture using Microsoft Intune and RMM tooling, identifying vulnerabilities, configuration gaps and exploitable weaknesses.
Investigate security tools, patches and compensating controls and recommend appropriate remediation measures. Assess and configure identity and access controls, including privileged access, MFA and conditional access.
Review security controls and incident response procedures and recommend improvements based on identified risks.
Work with technical staff, vendors and clients to implement and verify remediation of identified security issues. Prepare incident, vulnerability and security posture reports, communicating findings and recommendations to clients and management.
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant Bachelor's degree or higher in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or a closely related field.
Minimum 1 year of highly relevant post-qualification professional experience in cyber security or a closely related field. Demonstrated experience in security analysis, incident investigation, vulnerability assessment and remediation. Experience with Microsoft 365 and endpoint security environments; SentinelOne, NinjaOne, Microsoft Intune and RMM tooling highly regarded.
Robust analytical, investigative, problem-solving and communication skills.
