Job Description
Content Creator (Marketing) Concrete Boots Bar | Richmond, Melbourne VIC Full-time | 38 hours per week $85,000 per annum + superannuation Concrete Boots Bar is a hospitality and private events venue in Richmond, Melbourne. Private functions are a major part of our business, including casual weddings, engagement parties, milestone birthdays, corporate functions, Christmas parties and other private celebrations. We are looking for an experienced Content Creator (Marketing) to take ownership of our digital content and help increase the number, size and value of private event enquiries and bookings.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused content role for someone who can independently plan, create, publish and optimise digital content across social media, digital advertising, our website, email marketing and third-party event platforms. About the role You will be responsible for creating the content that shows prospective customers what an event at Concrete Boots can actually look and feel like.
This includes capturing real events, producing photography and video, creating social and advertising content, developing website and email content, analysing performance and continually improving campaigns based on what generates enquiries and bookings. Because many of our private functions take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, regular Friday and Saturday evening/night work is essential to this position. Your 38-hour working week will therefore include a combination of weekday/daytime planning, editing and campaign work and evening/weekend content capture.
This is a content and marketing role. Attendance at functions is for content creation and does not involve working as a bartender or function supervisor. Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage an ongoing digital content calendar.
- Plan content campaigns aimed at increasing private event enquiries and bookings.
- Create original photography, video, graphics and written content.
- Attend private events to photograph and film venue setups, decorations, food, drinks, entertainment and guest experiences.
- Produce and edit short-form video including Reels, Stories and other social-first formats.
- Create and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other relevant channels.
- Develop content targeting weddings,
engagements, birthdays, corporate functions, Christmas events and other private celebrations.
- Produce venue tours, event recaps, package explainers and other content that helps prospective customers understand the venue.
- Write social media copy, advertising copy, call-to-actions and promotional content.
- Create and update website pages, landing pages, event descriptions and function package content.
- Produce search-friendly website content based on relevant customer search intent.
- Develop creative content for Meta and Google advertising campaigns.
- Produce advertising variations for different audiences, event categories and campaign tests.
- Create content for email marketing and customer campaigns.
- Maintain and improve content on third-party venue and event listing platforms.
- Develop digital brochures, function package material, event graphics, posters and other marketing collateral.
- Monitor social, website and campaign performance.
- Analyse reach, engagement, traffic, enquiries and conversions.
- Test different creative concepts, messages and call-to-actions.
- Use performance data to continuously improve future content and campaigns.
- Maintain an organised library of photography, video and other digital assets.
About you We are looking for an experienced content professional who can work independently and take responsibility for turning marketing activity into measurable commercial results. You will have:
- at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in digital content creation, digital marketing, social media marketing, visual communication or a closely related field
- demonstrated experience independently planning, creating, publishing and optimising commercial digital content
- robust visual content creation skills, including photography, graphics and/or video
- experience creating and editing short-form digital video
- strong written communication and commercial copywriting skills
- experience producing content for social media and other digital channels
- experience working with digital advertising and campaign performance information
- an understanding of how digital content contributes to customer acquisition, engagement and conversion
- experience managing content calendars and multiple campaigns
- the ability to use analytics and performance results to improve future content
- a portfolio or examples of relevant professional content work
- availability to regularly work Friday and Saturday evenings and nights.
Qualifications A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in design, digital media, visual communication, marketing, communications or another closely related discipline is preferred. Applicants without a relevant tertiary qualification may be considered where they have at least 5 years of substantial relevant professional experience. - email marketing
- web and social analytics

- testing content or campaigns to improve enquiries or conversions.
What you'll be working towards The key objective of this role is to create and improve digital content that generates more qualified private event enquiries and bookings. Success will include building a consistent pipeline of original content, improving the presentation of our private function offering across digital channels and identifying which content and campaigns most effectively turn prospective customers into enquiries.
Location and hours The position is based on-site at Concrete Boots Bar in Richmond, Melbourne. This is a full-time position of 38 hours per week.
Regular Friday and Saturday evening/night work is required because live event content must be captured while functions are taking place. Other working hours will be rostered around content planning, editing, campaign development, website work, reporting and related marketing activity. Salary $85,000 per annum + superannuation.
