This QLD State Department is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support the delivery of building projects and estimating programs, particularly those that are complex, high-risk or high-value.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage estimating programs and projects, particularly medium to high-risk and complex projects.
- Prepare accurate estimates and quotation documentation for building projects.
- Ensure estimates and procurement activities comply with relevant government policies, procedures and client requirements.
- Provide advice and support across project planning, budgeting, estimating, programming and procurement.
- Monitor and report on estimating projects, including costs, schedules, productivity and project outcomes.
- Build solid client relationships through clear communication, negotiation and professional service.
- Ensure all work is delivered in line with workplace health, safety and employment requirements.
- Strong experience in building estimating, ideally within government or a similar environment.
- Experience managing estimates for medium to high-risk or complex projects.




- Robust understanding of project costing, budgeting, procurement and tendering processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality estimates.
- A current Driver License.
- A trade background is highly desirable.

Successful candidate

- Strong experience in building estimating, ideally within government or a similar environment.
- Experience managing estimates for medium to high-risk or complex projects.
