Lismore Base Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its ICU team on a contract basis. This is an immediate opportunity running through to 25 October 2026, based at the hospital in Lismore, NSW. The role offers the chance to work in a critical care workplace, supporting a dedicated team in one of the Northern Rivers region's key healthcare facilities.

- ICU nursing in a contract role, ASAP through to 25 October 2026
- Work with ventilator-dependent patients in a high-acuity setting
- Based in Lismore, NSW, surrounded by the lush countryside and rainforest of the Northern Rivers

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Demonstrated ICU nursing experience
- Ventilator competency and hands-on experience managing mechanically ventilated patients
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialisation in critical care nursing
- Additional certifications in intensive care or emergency nursing
