Project Pathway Recruitment – Sydney CBD NSW
Company Background
Our client is a growing Australian fintech whose platform moves critical data between employers, payroll systems and financial institutions. It's a space where accuracy genuinely matters, and where clear communication is treated as part of the product rather than an afterthought. The team is small enough that you'll see the impact of your work quickly, and big enough to be doing something that matters at scale.
About The Role
This is a role for a writer who sits comfortably between the technical and the human. You'll be the bridge between a complex platform and the people using it, whether that's a payroll administrator who just needs the steps or an IT team who wants to understand what's happening under the hood.
You'll split your time between support enablement (owning the help centre, building interactive guides, writing release comms) and brand content (blog posts, decks, keeping a consistent voice across everything). You'll work closely with the product and operational enablement teams, and you'll validate what you write by testing it in the product yourself.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the help centre in Zendesk: draft, edit and audit technical articles so they're accurate, clear and easy to find
- Build interactive walkthrough guides using tools like Supademo so users can learn by doing
- Identify friction points in the user journey and create content that solves problems before a ticket is raised
- Translate product updates into plain language release notes and change comms that land when the change does
- Test workflows in the product and sanity check details with engineers so the library never drifts out of date
- Write blog posts and support the marketing team on presentation and pitch materials
- Keep a consistent tone of voice across everything from troubleshooting guides to LinkedIn
About You
- Genuine technical fluency: integrations, field mappings, validation rules, file formats (CSV, XML, JSON) and error codes are familiar territory, and you can explain them to someone for whom they aren't
- Strong technical writing craft, with a knack for turning multi step processes into clear, logical instructions
- Confidence working directly with engineers, product managers and support to get to the real answer quickly
- You write for the user, and can guide a frustrated person to a solution with clarity and calm
- Zendesk Guide experience, plus interactive demo tools like Supademo, Walnut or Navattic would be highly regarded
Company Culture
A collaborative business where you'll work across nearly every department, from product and operations through to sales and marketing. Recent ways of teaching and communicating are genuinely welcomed here, and the team backs people who bring better ideas. Hybrid working with (X days) per week in the (location) office.
