Job Overview

Our client is a well-established Australian automation solutions provider with over 40 years of experience servicing the manufacturing industry. They deliver end-to-end automation and project management solutions across packaging, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and automotive sectors. Backed by a highly skilled in-house team of mechanical, electrical, and controls specialists, they support customers across the full machinery lifecycle, from installation through to maintenance and optimisation.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Service Technician to support automated packaging and filling equipment across metro and regional sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, service, and maintain automated packaging and filling machinery
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and breakdown support
- Provide onsite technical support and operator training
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and customer requirements
- Complete service reports, documentation, and quotations
- Travel to customer sites within the state (predominantly local travel)




- Maintain solid communication with customers and internal teams
- Manage priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

About You

- Electrical/Electronic Trade Certificate III, Disconnect/Reconnect licence, or mechanical trade background
- Minimum 2 years’ post-trade experience servicing industrial machinery
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability
- Comfortable working independently in a field service environment
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office and service reporting systems)
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to a team
